You can be a global, profitable and successful tech organization and advance diversity. No more excuses. At ThoughtWorks, women hold 60% of entry technical positions and 30% of Senior technical positions, numbers that’s more than double the industry average. Good intentions do not lead to results, a steel like resolve to play a part in moving the world forward does. I hope that by sharing some of our stories and journey I can inspire some new thinking and show what is possible

Organisations spend millions on Unconscious Bias training, yet very little is being achieved to move the needle when it comes to Gender Equality, BAME and LGBT inclusion. In this talk Joanne gives her thoughts as to why the inclusion approach currently taken by organisations is broken. Most of our biases are conscious and it is, therefore, the responsibility of organisations to develop a conscious inclusion culture and vision. Joanne challenges thinking and highlight strategies for a starting point on this journey, the destination is up to you!
