THEME

RECONNECT // REVIVE // RESOURCE

Our world is changing constantly but what remains constant is our humanness.

Three years of lock-down, global pandemic and political and social turmoil has adversely affected how sourcers view and do their job.  But what hasn’t changed is our deep human yearning to be in the company of real people, to appreciate and be appreciated. To be acknowledged for what we do and who we are as humans. Sourcing Summit will be about Reconnecting and enjoying the company of peers. It’s about a soul satisfying connection with fellow sourcers from all over the world.

Sourcing Summit is also about rebirth. We will look in-depth at the new things affecting the sourcing community. We will dissect the lessons learnt in the past three years, and explore what we need to learn in the future.

We will take a deep look at the advances in our profession and learn first-hand from the sharpest minds and innovative organisations throughout the event. We will look at all things new – tools, techniques and discoveries that will bring renewal. In these extraordinary times we will explore what joy means to sourcers. We will look at how and why sourcing matters, still.

We will rejoice in each other by networking, sharing and discovering.  At  Sourcing Summit Europe we invited every sourcer to reconnect, rediscover, reskill and revive. It’s time for RE.

SYNESTHETIC TALENT – SEEING PEOPLE THROUGH NEW LENS

When we consider neurodiversity what do we think? What do we hear? What do we see? The world of work is changing, and it’s time to see people through a new lens. Our brains are more powerful than ever before; our experiences unique in every way imaginable – there isn’t any other person like you or me! It’s time to switch on the parts of our brains we have ignored or discounted as not good enough for the modern world, as it’s exactly these so-called ‘quirks’ that will ignite the positive transformation of the world we hope to live in.

FROM CONFIDENCE TO COURAGE: LEAPING INTO THE NEW

Confident recruitment teams know they can achieve success. They can use data from previous processes to project how the new ones will turn out. But in sourcing, confidence can lead to failure. Relying on proven methods can mean you’re missing out on new approaches – and falling behind your competition.
How do we help sourcers to build the courage necessary to go from good to great? Let’s look at research, as well as the experience I was able to get through training dozens of sourcing teams.

Is there too many ways of going about a search?  This session attempts to bridge the chasm between knowledge and real-life practice and highlights how anyone can really learn sourcing.

CREATING A REAL-TIME MINI PEOPLE AGGREGATORS

What is the best site to source Software Developers? Physicians? Accountants? Sales Managers?
These are the wrong questions! It is best to combine sites. A professional site will provide professional backgrounds and maybe contact info; LinkedIn profiles have job titles, companies, and length of experience.  Depending on the industry, start with sites like Github or Healthcare license registries, then find these people on LinkedIn – and you have “aggregated” profiles with more info than any one site provides. Data on the web gets outdated fast. Cross-referencing “real-time” on the day you need it, relying on self-entered data, will generate the best results. Irina will explain the concept and run a variety of examples.
