Saswati Upadhyaya is a Senior Technical Sourcing Lead in Amazon. She leads the Sourcing space for Software engineering leadership hiring ensuring successful business outcomes that impact Amazon’s customers worldwide. Saswati is a subject matter expert in talent acquisition, process improvement and analytics and diversity and inclusion sourcing. She has also worked in and led talent acquisition teams in matrix, global settings and cultivated many partnerships to achieve results. She brings 16 years of talent acquisition experience primarily in large, global and complex tech organizations, management consulting such as Accenture and RPO. Prior to joining Amazon, Saswati spent more than 12 years working in a variety of roles in the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources organization.
In her last role at Amazon, she led the recruitment strategy and execution of talent acquisition, and diversity initiatives for Amazon’s Prime Operations Tech North America with 100 Mid-Senior level niche Software Engineering hires annually. In 2022, she led the initiative to re-haul the sourcing strategy for Senior level Software Engineering hiring in her org, leading to the a 200% boost in hires with a shorter time to fill. Saswati began her career as a Lead Recruiter working for Accenture and later become a principal at a small, boutique search firm before turning her focus back to corporate recruiting. Saswati holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and MBA in Human Resources from top Universities in India and currently resides in Seattle, WA. Outside of work, Saswati’s interests revolve around hiking, volunteering at schools, mentoring, reading and content writing.”
