LEANDRO GOMES DA SILVA
NOBEL RECRUITMENT
NETHERLANDS
Leandro Gomes da Silva built his approach to recruitment by spending his first three years sitting alongside engineers rather than HR, listening closely to what they believed recruiters consistently got wrong. He has spent much of the decade since trying to do things differently.
At Loop Earplugs, Leandro helped scale the company from 90 to 300 people in just 22 months, achieving a 98% offer acceptance rate with zero agency spend. His approach to AI is grounded in a simple principle: know what to automate, what to augment, and what must remain human. Hiring, he believes, is ultimately about belonging—and while AI can remove much of the repetitive work, it cannot automate human connection.
Today, Leandro leads AI Operations at Nobel Recruitment in Amsterdam, designing systems that allow recruiters to spend less time on administrative work and more time building relationships. Through The AI Laundry, he also trains Talent Acquisition teams to put AI into practice, with an emphasis on building working tools that can be used immediately rather than simply discussing AI concepts.
He also advises organisations on what AI technology to build, what to buy, and what isn’t worth the investment, helping talent teams across European startups and scaleups make more practical decisions about AI adoption.
